– The Shire London looks forward to welcoming a host of international boxing stars and golfers alike to play the superb Seve Ballesteros designed golf course –

Darren Barker, a British, Commonwealth, twice European and IBF World Middleweight Boxing Champion will be hosting a golf day on September 11th in aid of the British Boxing Board of Control.

The event, tailored towards raising money for charity through the great game of golf, will take place at Darren Barker’s home club, The Shire London. Originally from Barnet, Barker has many fond memories of playing around the only Seve Ballesteros designed course in the UK.

With a host of international boxing stars confirmed, including the likes of Johnny Nelson, Kell Brook, Joe Calzaghe, Dave Allen, Kevin Mitchell, Leon McKenzie, twin brothers Jamie and Gavin McDonnell, and many more, there is no better place for boxing enthusiasts to meet their favourite boxer, play golf and listen to their insightful career stories at this year’s Darren Barker Boxing Invitational.

Prices for this unmissable event start at £349 per fourball for members and £449 per fourball for visitors. Included within the price is a goody bag on arrival, photo opportunities with all the boxers, food and drinks stations on the course followed by an informal Q&A and auction after the event for guests to enjoy.

Set within 220 acres of predominantly Hertfordshire countryside, just 13 miles north of central London, The Shire London is London’s #1 golfing experience and is best known for its unique course layout consisting of three distinctive course styles: links, parkland and American. With an equal number of par-3’s, 4’s and 5’s, the Masters Course lays down a demanding test for players of all abilities with a total yardage of 7,028 off the championship tees.
